CNC Grinding

In our CNC grinding department we have Jones & Shipman CNC Cylindrical Grinders capable of grinding up to 1000 mm between centres with a maximum ground diameter of 250mm. These machines are used mainly for volume production work. They are equipped with 3 jaw & magnetic chucks and Marposs in process gauging and lateral position flagging.

We also have a Jones & Shipman Format 15 CNC Universal grinder; capable of grinding up to a maximum diameter of 250mm this machine has one internal & two external grinding wheels and is used mainly for chucking and collet work. This is also equipped with 3 jaw, collet, & magnetic chucks as well as Marposs in-process gauging.

In order to ensure greater accuracy we lap all centres before grinding. We have several Jones and Shipman Cone Lap machines for this facility.
